Brymio or Quipu: how they differ

Quipu, part of TeamSystem, is cloud invoicing software for freelancers, companies and accounting firms, with taxes, banks and cash flow. Brymio is modular business software for freelancers and small businesses in Spain, with invoicing, time tracking, hiring, online store, projects and website audits on every plan. Here is what each one does better, and their prices and limits as they publish them.

What Quipu does better

  • Invoices and quotes have no limit from its cheapest plan, Starter, at €17 a month. In Brymio the free plan gives 10 invoices a month and the first paid plan costs €19.99 a month.
  • It prepares more tax forms on all its plans: for VAT, 303 and 390; for income tax, 111, 115, 130, 180, and 190; and forms 347 and 349. Brymio calculates forms 303, 130 and 347.
  • It includes VERI*FACTU on every plan. Brymio's engine is built, but for now its records go to the Spanish Tax Agency's test environment.
  • It connects directly to your banks: up to 3 accounts on Solution and 10 on Premium. Brymio imports transactions as CSV or Norma 43.
  • It connects Shopify, WooCommerce, and PrestaShop and creates an invoice for every order. Brymio connects Shopify and WooCommerce.
  • It offers a separate accounting service that files your taxes, from €80. Brymio files nothing with the Tax Agency.
  • It has a mobile app on every plan, a payslip importer from Solution and integration with accounting software such as A3 and Sage.
  • Its website mentions more than 20,000 businesses. Brymio is a young product from a small company.

What Brymio does better

  • It has a free plan with no end date and no card, with every module. Quipu offers a 15-day trial.
  • It keeps the working-time record required by article 34.9 of the Spanish Workers' Statute, on every plan. Quipu's plan comparison does not list a working-time record.
  • More people without paying per user: the PYME plan (€59.99 a month) gives 5 people with access and 25 employees clocking in. Quipu includes 1 user on Starter and Solution, 3 users on Premium (€59 a month), and charges €5 a month for each extra user.
  • Projects, Hiring, the online store and website audits are included on every plan. Quipu keeps analytics and projects for its Premium plan.
  • If you sell on Shopify or WooCommerce, Brymio also runs the catalogue: bulk editing with a backup, checks before publishing and the orders, as well as the invoice for each order.
